The Golden Mile is the coastline between Marbella town and Puerto Banús.

The name dates to the 1950s when a prince opened the Marbella Club Hotel, attracting celebrities such as Sean Connery, Ava Gardner, Audrey Hepburn, Deborah Kerr, Liza Minelli and Omar Sharif.

To this day, The Golden Mile still attracts the jet set, which builds or buys large luxurious villas.
